SIXTEN Environmental is a French company that was created in January 2021 by motocross and design lovers. The offices are based in the south-west in Hossegor in the heart of the Landes. Why did we create SIXTEN? To offer a range of environmental products that combine style and quality. We realised that it was necessary to integrate the ecological aspect into the practice of motor sports: motocross, SSV or jet-ski. Especially since the F.I.M. standard is becoming stricter to encourage motorbike riders to use an environmental mat. We had to answer the question: What product can reduce the environmental impact of motorcycling while highlighting your colours on the ground? The challenge was to create a quality product that is useful and lasts over time by integrating the ecological dimension into the design and production process.
So we set out on a quest to provide a durable, hard-wearing and stylish environmental mats made in Europe. We quickly realised that motorbiking is not the only discipline that requires a floor mat. That's why we looked into the possibility of offering mats with dimensions that correspond to other motor sports. The first SIXTEN motorcycle environmental mats were designed in the Landes during the first containment in March 2020. Following this, absorption tests were carried out in order to determine whether the mats could be homologated to the F.I.M. standard.
Once the tests were successful, we looked at the catalogue of brands to offer you your favourite brands. We started by making Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda motorbike mats. But we also have brands specific to each discipline, such as Polaris environmental mats for quad bikes and SSVs. Then we came up with the idea of offering to make your own personalised mats.
