Two friends with a drive to build

Sixten was born from a desire to develop personalisation products for the world of sport. It all started in January 2021, in the Landes region, in Hossegor.

Charles and Martin, two friends who became Sixten's founders, shared the same observation: motor sports — motocross, SSV, jet-ski — needed a genuine environmental approach.

Where the name comes from

First called "Sixten Bikes", the brand started out in the world of motocross before expanding to environmental mats for every mechanical discipline. Sixten Bikes then became Sixten Environmental.

Charles, based in Hossegor, was already running a distribution company. Martin had spent years in the personalisation industry and had already launched other brands. Joining forces was an obvious step: combining their know-how to help Sixten grow.

The product idea

It all started with a simple idea: a useful, durable, eco-friendly motorcycle mat. At the same time, the F.I.M. standard came into force in France, and demand for environmental mats grew.

Riders wanted to personalise their mats, but existing options were disappointing: fragile materials, poor print quality. Charles and Martin set out on a real quest: to design a durable, resistant, stylish environmental mat, entirely manufactured in Europe.

They quickly realised motorcycling wasn't the only discipline concerned, and developed mats for SSV, jet-ski and karting too. After rigorous absorption tests, Sixten mats earned F.I.M. (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) approval — a key milestone.

As a manufacturer specialising in environmental mats for sport, we've developed our own manufacturing process to guarantee reliable, durable products. That same standard applies to our responsive, attentive customer service, and to logistics handled entirely in-house.
