Environmental mats are now mandatory in competition, according to the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA)). A mat must absorb 1.5 L of liquid per square metre, helping to reduce soil pollution linked to motorsport. The karting format covers a kart's spot in the pit. You can go for a larger size if you want more room for your tools, tires or maintenance between runs. Available dimensions are offered for each variant.
Shake then vacuum the mat, then clean it with a pressure washer at moderate pressure — mild biodegradable soap for stubborn stains, rinse with clean water. Air-dry away from sunlight. Avoid bleach and machine washing.
